About our speaker

Dr Germán Bersalli is a postdoctoral researcher in the “Energy Transition and Public Policy” research group at the IASS Potsdam. His research combines ecological economics with other social sciences and focuses on policies and transformative changes toward a carbon-free economic system. He is currently working on three interrelated questions: crises and structural change, policy packages for complete decarbonization in the global north and the global south, and European energy policy and decentralization.

The online-lecture-series on #SocietalTransformation is part of the HEPCoPa-Project. One focus this year is on the transfer between research and practice on the SDGs. 12 speakers from Colombia and Germany report on research and civil society initiatives related to the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. In the online events we will offer space for discussion and questions with the speakers and the participants from Colombia and Germany.
